Current Project
Here's just a brief overview of our current project.
The Blasdel Barn, Montana
This beautiful piece of Montana History was built in 1908. The actual story of it (coming directly from the family that once owned it) is that it was built on a stolen payroll many moons ago and has since, seen worlds beyond most of us could even fathom. The Blasdel Barn has only been within two families (The Porter’s and The Blasdel’s). It is one of the biggest barns in the Flathead Valley, and is one of the most photographed barns in Montana. Its massive size, gorgeous landscape and extensive history gives this barn more character than the life it’s seen.
The 116 year old structure (2024) and counting is on the National Historical Society Registrar and is owned by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. It is extremely dilapidated and needs your help to come back to the “original” state as well as repurposed into something the community will be able to enjoy and prosper from.
We have a variety of plans for this project and it is a massive undertaking that will benefit the local economy as well as the beautiful state of Montana.
To keep up-to-date on the project, and it’s progress, subscribe to our email list. We will have blueprints and many other items to look through as this project gets rolling.
Please also take a few moments to ask any and all questions, as well as donate to the cause (every dollar counts). We want to help you preserve this historical community so our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and beyond can enjoy the architecture just as we have through our generations.
We plan to help reclaim, restore and repurpose our beautiful historical landscapes one brick, one piece of wood, one story and one building at a time.
